Cancellation Policy

Last updated: [to be set on review]

Draft placeholder - requires professional legal review. This document is provided as a starting point only. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified legal professional before the practice goes live. Handling of health information in Australia engages the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles, and a mental health practice has additional professional obligations.

We understand that life happens and appointments sometimes need to change. This policy helps us keep time available for everyone who needs it.

Notice period

Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You can do this from your client portal or by contacting the practice.

Late cancellations and non-attendance

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may incur a fee, as the time has been reserved for you.
  • Missed appointments without notice may be charged at the full session fee.
  • The Free 15 minute Consultation is never charged, including for late cancellation.

Rescheduling

Where possible, we will always try to find an alternative time that suits you. Rescheduling within the notice period is welcome and free of charge.

Refunds

Refunds for prepaid sessions follow this policy and are issued by the practitioner. Specific deposit and forfeiture rules are configurable and will be confirmed in writing.

Exceptional circumstances

We recognise that emergencies and illness occur. Please get in touch - fees may be waived at the practitioner’s discretion in genuine exceptional circumstances.
